1918

26 December

A.B.Sefikursky has started to fulfil duties on a post of the minister of Mail-Telegraph and Work of Azerbaijan

2.

1920

March

In different cities and settlements of Azerbaijan 56 postal -cable enterprises, 4252 versts of cable lines are restored

1919

1 March

Azerbaijan Cable Agency "Azertaj" extends different cable news as on republic, so in foreign countries

By means of telegraph device Witson cable communication of Baku-Moscow is organised

1920 – 1922

   In a direction of Baku, Moscow, Тiflis, Krasnovodsk, Astrakhan, Makhachkala, Agstafa, Lenkoran. Nakhichevan, Astara, Еvlakh, Guba, Agdam, Аkhsu, Nukha, Geokchay, Gandzha, Shemakha, Shusha, Kurdamir, Salyan, Hajikabul, Surakhani, Balakhani there were 25 cable communications

Taking into account Nakhichevan as centre the first post-cable inspection in Ordubad, Julfa, Shakhdag, Main Norashen has started to operate

1 June

In a city of Baku from the Baku Postal -cable office cable communication has separated and the independent organization the Baku Central Telegraph is created

1939 – 1940

In Baku 9 multiple telegraph devices Bodo are established

1938

For the first time in Baku by means of phototelegraph device ZFT-ACH one of kinds of cable communication photocable communication has been organized with Moscow

1942 – 1944

From the beginning of occupation of Minsk till its liberation the chief of the Minsk Telegraph N.Baryshev is nominated by chief of the Baku Telegraph

Between Baku and Krasnovodsk by means of equipment the Western Electricit is organized few-channel tone-frequency telegraphy

1949

By the Baku Telegraph office the subscriber's cable station of manual system T-41 is installed

1960

By the Baku Telegraph office transfer of all typing apparatuses into the International Cable Code №2 has been finished

14.

1959 - 1960

In directions of Baku-Guba, Baku-Lenkoran, Baku-Gandzha connection of the cable equipment working in a tone-frequency mode has begun

The first automatic subscriber's cable station of type АТА-57 in capacity 80/60 with the cities of Moscow, Gorki, Tbilisi, Rostov, Kuibyshev is placed in operation

1969

For the organisation of automatic transfer of telegrams on a telegraphic network of the common using of Azerbaijan by the Baku Telegraph the decade-step-by-step server of type of APSH-SH that works with system (direct connection) and has capacity 280/120 is placed in operation

1978

By order of the Ministry of Communications of the Azerbaijan Republic in publishing house "Communist" building «the shop of reception of newspaper strips» is organized

1981

On the basis of shop of reception of newspaper strips the site of reception and transfer of phototelegrams is organized

1982

The Baku Telegraph has started to function in one of the most beautiful buildings of capital (avenue of Azerbaijan 41)

23 January

In a new building of the Baku Telegraph the cable station of switching of channels «Nikola Tesla» (manufactures of the Yugoslavian firm) co-ordinate type in capacity 2000/1817 is placed in operation

1980 – 1984

On a city of Baku in automatic telephone exchange-24, 32, 61/62, 66/67, 91, 92, 38/39, 71/72, 74/75 it is established sealing forming channels cable equipment ТVU-15, DATA-3, DATA-6, TT-5

By the Baku Telegraph the hardware-software complex «APK telegraph» is introduced

In the city of Gandzha new station AT-PS-PD on 612 points of connection (324/288) is introduced

In the city of Sumgait the station PTS-K is placed in operation

In all terminal points of network of the common using electronic telegraphs devices of type F-2000 are introduced

The first international 24 channel cable system between Baku and Teheran is organised

The International Telex Union (ITU) has transferred for the Azerbaijan national Telex network a code of appointment «784» and an identification code «AI» (two letters from a word Azerbaijan)

25 June

By the Baku Telegraph the Centre of Automatic Switching of Messages (CАSM) station 2 ETK-KS is placed in operation

1995

By the Baku Telegraph the System of Switching and Tariffing of English company E.C.Datacom is placed in operation

1997

For the first time by the Baku Telegraph office the digital equipment with 46 channel of cable compaction TDM type is placed in operation

1998

By order of the Ministry of Communications of the Azerbaijan Republic «Rules of giving of services of cable communication» are confirmed

2001

June 13

The new system Real Telex has introduced and the Telex exchange of Baku is connected to a global network the Internet by the Baku Telegraph office

2013

01 August

A new service "Sending telegrams online" implemented at the Baku Telegraph

2016

01 November

Express mail service (letters, packets, parcels) implemented at the Baku Telegraph
